Dear Soccer players, coaches, parents and fans. Thank you for dropping in.
Can I ask you a quick question?
What is the biggest sin in soccer? What would inevitably detach you from the world game?
The dinosaurs were over a 100 metres long and could cast a shadow for kilometers. Where are they now? Where are these gigantic monsters of the prehistoric age?
A simplistic overview would suggest that they failed to change. They did not know how to adapt to the changing conditions. They stagnated while the world around them changed.
While you sit there and reflect on your favorite dinosaur, did you ever stop and think about the Greek, Roman and Persian Empires. What ever happened to these empires?
As a smart man declared,
“Survival of the fittest”.
If you fail to grow, adopt and learn, you too will perish into the soccer wilderness.
So one of the biggest soccer sins is stagnation. Standing still while the world continues to spin at an alarming pace.
Don’t let soccer pass you by, get moving, start learning and adapt to the changes. What worked 10 years ago, 5 years ago or in some cases yesterday, will not work today.
“May the winds of destiny blow you to the stars.”
